Swing into Spring - Free Golf Clinics

Every Saturday beginning with April 21st Through June, Meadow Lakes Golf Course will host free golf clinics, from 9:00am to 10:30am. This is a great way to find out if you even like golf, and also a great time to review your golf fundamentals for the coming golf season. So bring along some friends or come on your own. Hearing on Commercial Building Design Standards Continued to May 20

The second hearing on the proposed Commercial Building Design Standards, originally scheduled for April 15, will be postponed to May 20.  This decision was made by the Planning Commission at a workshop in April 8 in which both City staff and commissioners agreed that additional time would be necessary to make significant changes to the initial draft standards.  The following dates represent the tentative schedule for the Planning Commission ’s review of the proposed design standards:

  • Tuesday, April 29           Workshop: continued discussion of changes to draft standards.

  • Tuesday, May 6             Workshop: final changes to draft standards prior to hearing.

  • Tuesday, May 13           Draft standards available to the public on City website or at City Hall.

  • Tuesday, May 20           Hearing on revised draft of design standards.

City Seeks Proposals for Real Estate Agent of Record

The City of Prineville is accepting proposals from qualified agents and brokers to act as "Real Estate Agent of Record" to provide support to the City in the areas of property bonding, liability, employee benefits, adn other risk management issues. City to Hold Meetings - Discuss System Development Charges

The City of Prineville will hold a series of community meetings to receive input on potential changes to the City's assessment of System Development Charges.  The meetings are scheduled to occur on Friday, March 21st at noon, and Tuesday, April 1st, at 5PM.  Both meetings will be held at City Hall. Planning Commission Public Hearing -- Commercial Building Design Standards

The City of Prineville Planning Commission held a public hearing on March 18, 2008 to obtain feedback from the community in regard to proposed Commercial Building Design Review standards. After hearing testimony, the Planning Commission voted to continue the public hearing to April 15, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. The Planning Commission will hold a workshop on March 25, 2008 at 5:30 to discuss comments from the public hearing. Current SDC Methodology Available

Three documents have been added to the Finance Document Center which detail the current methodology for assessing System Development Charges in the area of water, wastewater, and transportation.  These documents are available for download and provide insight to the way the City assesses these charges.  This will be a topic for discussion at the next community meeting regarding SDC charges scheduled for Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 - 5:00 PM at City Hall. City Releases Annual Water Quality Report

The Public Works department has released the 2007 Consumer Confidence Report.  This document contains information pertaining to the quality of water supplied by the City's municipal water system.  A copy of this report is mailed to every customer connected to City water services and is posted in public places.  It is also available for download on the City's website. DLCD Approves City of Prineville Comprehensive Plan

The City of Prineville has received Comprehensive Plan approval from the Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD).  Two minor textual changes were required by DLCD as part of the approval.  These textual changes were approved by the Prineville City Council on November 27, 2007. City Seeks Budget Committee Members

The City of Prineville is accepting applications for Budget Committee Members. Each applicant must be a legal voter and reside within the City limits of Prineville. Budget Committee Members are appointed for a three year term. Applications can be picked up at City Hall, or downloaded from the website. Applications will be accepted until 5PM, February 21, 2008. Police Department Receives Community Cleanup Donation

Public Works Presents Snow Removal Plan

Goal 5, 6 & 7 Study

The City of Prineville Planning Department has released a study addressing the Goal 5, 6 & 7 requirements for comprehensive planning.  The issue is before the Joint Planning Commissions with a hearing scheduled for June 6th.  The issues will eventually be reviewed by the City Council and County Court.  More information is available at the following page: [Goal 5, 6, 7 Study]
