The Evidence Room is staffed by one Full Time Evidence Officer, under the direct supervision of the Communications Director.

The Crook County District Attorney’s office must authorize the release of property held as evidence in criminal cases. Releases are done by appointment only.

To inquire about the release of evidence or the release of recovered or found property, please contact Evidence Officer Gabriella Quinones at 541-447-4168 ext. 123.

The Evidence Room is normally staffed between the hours of 7a.m. and 2p.m., Monday through Friday. If you reach voicemail, please leave a detailed message (including case number if applicable) with your name and callback number.

For active criminal cases, requests for report copies must be made through the Crook County District Attorney’s office.

All requests must be made in writing and may be mailed or dropped off at the Prineville Police Department, 400 NE 3rd St., Prineville, OR 97754

Please allow 24 hours for processing report copy requests. The report copies can be mailed or picked up at the Prineville Police Department.

If you had a motor vehicle accident and are looking for a copy of the report please wait 3 -4 days from the date of the accident before you attempt to obtain a copy of the report.

Please direct any requests for Criminal History and Background Checks to the Oregon State Police, ID Services at 503-378-3070 ext 330 or ext 229 or ext 230.
