I would like to welcome you to the Prineville Police Department web-site. Prineville is a wonderful
community to work, live and play in, and we are proud to be a part of it. The Prineville Police Department
is committed to provide professional, courteous and dedicated service to the citizens of Prineville to create
a safe environment for all.
The Department is structured as follows:
Administration: Which consists of the Chief of Police, a Captain in charge of the Patrol and
Detective Division, the Director of 911 Communications who is responsible for the 911 system for Crook
County, and an Administrative Sergeant, who manages office operations and the budget while overseeing an
Evidence Technician and a receptionist.
Patrol Division: Three Police Sergeants, nine Police Officers and eight Reserve Officers.
Detective Division: One Detective Sergeant who investigates all major crimes and one
Narcotics Detective assigned to a inter-agency narcotics task force.
911 / Communications Division: Seven full time Communications Officers and one
reserve Communications Officer.
It is a privilege for the Prineville Police Department to serve the citizens of our great community.

BIOGRAPHY
Chief Bush was hired with the Prineville Police Department in 1990 as a patrol officer. He has
served in various capacities, to include narcotics investigations, SWAT, and mounted patrol. He rose
though the ranks until being promoted to Chief in 2003.
Chief Bush has been active in the community for many years serving on several boards and being involved in
various youth activities. In addition to his law enforcement career Chief Bush has served in the military
for more than 24 years and is currently a Colonel in the Oregon Army National Guard. He is assigned as the
Deputy Brigade Commander of the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team in Tigard, Oregon. Chief Bush is currently
a distance education student at the US Army War College in Carlisle, PA and is scheduled to deploy with his
unit to Iraq in 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
