How to use this information:

The complete City of Prineville Code of Ordinance is available on this website. Our ordinances are divided into two categories: Ordinances which have been codified and are listed in the City Code Book, and ordinances which are passed throughout the current year and have not yet been codified.

The codification process takes place annually, and consists of updating the code book to reflect new, modified and repealed ordinances which have been adopted by the City Council since the Code Book's last update. When an ordinance is adopted, it is immediately enacted and is in effect regardless of whether it has been codified into the Code Book. As such, we have included a section below which lists ordinances that have been passed since the last codification. THE ORDINANCES BELOW SUPERCEDE WHAT IS PRINTED IN THE CODE BOOK.
